The Bard's Town hosts a variety of artistic endeavors, including musicians performing original work, classical musicians, comedy, poetry readings, dance performances, live theatre, and more.   The Bard's Town has two main performance spaces: the larger stage theatre on the 2nd floor (typically booked several months in advance), and the smaller stage lounge on the 1st floor (typically 3-piece bands or smaller, plus comedy; typically booked 1-2 months in advance). 

LIVE MUSIC BOOKING INFO

  • For 2 or 3-piece bands, we typically offer our lounge space.  For larger bands, we typically offer our theatre (if available) or see if they can fit in the lounge. 
  • For smaller acts ($5 and under), the musician(s) provide their own door person, charge a cover, and keep 100%. 
  • For larger local acts in the theatre, the musician(s) provide their own door person, charge a cover, and keep 80% ($1 to the house for a $5 cover, $2 for $10, etc.)
  • For touring acts, we provide a door person, charge typically $8-15 ticket, first $120 goes to the venue with an 80/20 split thereafter (80% to artist, 20% to venue). For touring acts that want to charge less, we typically then work out an arrangement based on the preceding bullet points. 
COMEDY BOOKING INFO

  • For free shows, The Bard's Town charges nothing. 
  • For shows $7 and under, The Bard's Town receives $1 per ticket sold. 
  • For shows $8 and up, The Bard's Town receives $2 per ticket sold. 

THEATRE BOOKING INFO

  • For free shows, The Bard's Town charges nothing. 
  • The Bard's Town receives $2 per ticket sold for all other theatre shows.
  • Light/sound operation provided at an additional $1 per ticket.
